Immersion doesn't mean that you help to the persons in need but you immerse and interact on how the way they live and experiences in daily life.
Last Nov. 20,2010, was the first day that we have our immersion at Brgy. Ayungon. I was very happy and excited because it was my first time to have this kind of activity. Unfortunately, me and my other classmates arrived there at around 1:00 in the afternoon because we had our MTAP class. When we arrived there, our teacher introduced to us our foster families. But sadly, my foster parent didn't accept me cordially. She got mad because she has been waiting me since early in the morning. After what happened, our teacher decided to find me a new foster family which I will be serving for. Then I met Nanay Delia Patricio and her 5 children. That day I didn't met Tatay Eric because he is working in Hda. Fe. At first I felt shy to talk with them but they showed their kindness so it is easy for me to get along with them.
The next Immersion was on Nov. 27,2010. Unfortunately i wasnt able to come because I got sick.
Last Dec. 11,2010, we had our Christmas Party. All the people are very happy especially the kids. The kids are really having fun and joined the different games. Even though the prizes that we gave are small, still you can see the joy and delight in their faces. Our foster parent had also a great time.
My Immersion experience had taught me so many lessons and has changed my outlook in life.I had experienced so many things that I haven't experienced before This experience has taught me to be contented and be thankful of what we have right now.I realize that we are lucky and fortunate enough that we are not experiencing the hardships that our foster family are experiencing.I realizes that even in the the small things that you do you can make other people happy. In this activity I learned that even though they cant buy the things that they want but still they are happy with their lives.I learned that money cant give you the real happiness in life but a family can give you the real happiness you are seeking. This experience was the unforgettable experience and best thing that happened in my 4th year in high school.
